Formed in early 2008, NOK NOVUM is a progressive metal band from Calgary, Alberta. The band was originally conceived as a two-piece, with guitarist Grant Cooper and drummer Brady Mason.

After years of developing a textured sound, NOK NOVUM released their self-titled debut album on August 5th, 2012. It cleverly fuses 70s progressive rock, jazz-fusion, and heavy metal, creating a sound that is simultaneously chaotic and inviting.

With the addition of Scott Giffin on guitar and Cam Dougall on bass in late 2013, NOK NOVUM has proven themselves to be one of the top live acts in the Calgary metal scene. The band’s live show is like no other. Seamlessly combining mesmerizing video with music, NOK NOVUM’s goal is to create a stimulating auditory and visual experience for the audience.

With the recent release of their new singles,
Shiryō and Ghost Farmer, a new album in the works, and recent endorsements with Seymour Duncan, D'Addario, and Port City Amplification, 2016 is gearing up to be a momentous year for the band.
